What a great couple of shows we had today! I had just uploaded brand new crystal-clear MP3 sound effects so the game would sound better than it ever did before. The 1pm episode started off with STM turning the trick on his competitors and then not one but TWO new players made their first appearance into the Hot Seat! Let’s cut to the action and see how everyone did in the early game! Tim: Welcome to the game, everyone! Let’s get right to the first fastest-finger question of the day. Got those reflexes all polished up, fingers flexed, looks like we’re good to go. Good luck to all of you! Put the following lines that Mufasa’s Ghost says in chronological order, starting with the earliest: A: “Look inside yourself, Simba” Lucy Parker: CBAD Correct Order: C, A, D, B simba spirit: WAT!!!! Everyone flipped around the last three! So we did a replacement one and no one got that right either. Finally I got a winner on the third try: Put the following character is TLKOB in the order they first speak in the production, starting with the earliest: A: Mufasa simbathemighty: badc Both Simbaspirit and STM got it right, but STM got it a little quicker, so he won the right to play first! STM has been doing really well lately on Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands, and was eager to add to his growing bankroll of $57,000. He was doing really well, and soon was looking at the $16,000 question with two of his lifelines left, the 50:50 and Phone-A-Friend. $16,000 A: Daddy simbathemighty: I wanna call B: Wow simbathemighty: B STM then walked away from the $32,000 about the amenities in Timon’s “Dream home” in TLK 1 ½, so he added a cool $16,000 to his winnings! Well done! Here was the next fastest finger question: Put the following Simba lines in the order he says them in TLK, starting with the earliest: A: “What about that shadowy place?” darkslash1: adbc <9.4 seconds> Correct Order: A, D, B, C simbathemighty: *applauces to darkslash Tim: OH my goodness that was close! Just getting in there was Darkslash with the right answer, barely edging out Nathalie. Congratulations! Watching Nathalie and Darkslash’s answers come up, it was just about simultaneous between them, and I know Darkslash has been barely beat at least a couple times so this was certainly redemption for him! Not wasting any time, Darkslash plowed through the early part of the game and kept all of his lifelines! But he played very, very well for his first time in the hot seat and we look forward to seeing some incredible things from him in the future. Keeping with the theme of the show, Simbaspirit became the second first-timer as she put her paws on the right order. Curtain Call” Darn! She was doing so well, too. A nice run though and not too bad for her first trip to the Hot Seat, an even $1,000 to put Simbaspirit on the leaderboard. She ended up missing the $8,000 question and leaving with $1,000. Then Simbaspirit won the next fastest-finger and also walked away with another $1,000 to add to her $1,000 from this afternoon’s game to give her $2,000 overall. She really gets into the game and I look forward to seeing more of her as the game progresses.
