<Balloons, confetti and money falling from the ceiling> Welcome to the review from Week 15 of Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands!!! And if you couldn’t guess from the bedlam in the background, we finally crowned a new champion today! Audra (Sharifu) from San Jose, California reached the $1,000,000 milestone today by winning $250,000 in the third game of the day! Let’s recap ALL of the day’s action and see what led up to Audra’s big win…

This Land Neale: oh yes This Land has been hot as of late, he was making his second consecutive appearance in the hot seat in three shows, and looked to improve upon his $32,000 showing last week. He smooth-sailed right up to the $32,000 question and didn’t even touch a lifeline – but ran into a tough spot. Would he be able to escape? <cue Adam’s game> <cheering> Adam! Wow, you’ve got $16,000 and if you get this next question right you’ll be only the second person EVER to reach the $32,000 level without using a lifeline, and our money leader Audra is the sole holder of that title. Another $1,000 today for Tal, not quite what he was looking for but he’s still got that impressive total. So we went searching for another player, and who would it be? Audra, the current money leader for Season 2, needed a win of $250,000 on this game to catapult her over the $1,000,000 hump and become the champion for Season 2. Anything less and the game would go on - tension was in the air! Her game features one of the greatest moments in Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands history to ever occur when a perfectly-timed Phone-A-Friend enabled Audra to bring it home. Let’s watch the amazing Fu’ey work her magic: <cue Audra’s game> $32,000 A: 2 simbathemighty: you can doooo iiiit! Audra: Oh gosh... Audra: I think I know... Kicks Ed during be Prepared It was a very tough question, and a true team effort as Audra named the first three and then called on STM, who has helped many players since Season 1 come up with the right answers, who came through once again with the fourth. What a perfect use of the Phone-A-Friend, they nailed the question TOGETHER which made it a great moment for the show. I did give Audra a chance to go all the way to $1,000,000 for a chance at a bonus prize package valued at over $35 USD, but as expected, she walked away from the $500,000 question. We had enough time to play one more game and Stevie made it into the Hot Seat, needing to go all the way to tie Audra as co-champion and Queen of the Pride Lands, but unfortunately missed the $64,000 question to leave her with a very impressive $380,000 for Season two, well done Stevie. It certainly is a lot of work to host a Net Game show of this caliber but it’s so enjoyable for me to bring this game to Lion King fans across the world in the hopes that it will never be forgotten.
