Hi all you Pride Lands fans and fanatics out there, we’re back once again to recap the day’s action, and let me tell you there was a lot of it, including a BIG win by one player that changed the face of the leaderboard. Let’s see how events transpired today with first the contestant introductions followed by the first fastest finger question: Welcome to week 5 of Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands – we have seven players today that have joined us from all over the world, and they are: Andy Boardman, Widnes, United Kingdom <applause> Welcome one and all, great to see you all here. If you’re ready, get those fingers poised and ready because here is the first fastest finger question! Fastest Finger Put the following characters in the order they appear in TLK II: Simba’s Pride, starting with the earliest: A: Vitani This Land Neale: dbca Time’s up, let’s take a look at the right order: Correct Order: C, D, B, A And Audra, you were the first to get it right, just beating out Stevie! You’re gonna be our next player, well done!!! <applause> Audra and Dani continued their run of dominance on the game, Audra herself had racked up $96,000 in three appearances and had some catching up to do to reach Dani’s $221,000 in cash so far this season, and as always she was ready to give it her best shot! She ran through the early part of the game and became only the second contestant this season to reach the $32,000 level without using any of her lifelines after correctly identifying that there were three zebras during the TLKOB’s “Circle of Life” scene, and here she is going for a tough $64,000 question! Audra, you’re can’t be doing any better right now, you have FOUR lifelines at your disposal, including the Double-Dip. If you play this right, you could leave with a lot of money this game, are you ready??? Audra: Yeah Let’s play! $64,000 A: Carmen Twillie Audra: :-O Okay herd, a tough task here. Please vote A, B, C or D now! A: 72% B: 0% C: 14% D: 14% Wow, surprisingly 72% of the audience agree with A: Carmen Twillie, with C and D also receiving votes. A pretty clear majority! Audra: Hmm wow 72% is a high number for this level of difficulty, how does tonight’s audience look? Audra: Yeah I'll go with A... 72% is high High enough to make A: Carmen Twillie your FINAL answer??? Audra: Yeah The audience isn’t always right… Audra: Oh my gosh But this time they came through! You’ve just won $64,000!!! <wild applause, cheers> Audra: Thanks guys! Yaaaay She did it, great use of her lifeline there got Audra the $64,000 win, and she was really looking good with her 50:50, Double-Dip (always a good combination to have ;) as well as her Phone-A-Friend. Audra then pulled something she’s recently become famous for because of her ability to save important lifelines for late in the game, the “Audra Cheat”: $125,000 A: Five foot two Audra: Um So you think it’s A: Five foot two… Audra: Yeah or it's C Audra: Yeah... Hmm... Well six feet is tall for a girl XD You’ve got it narrowed down to two… you could try your luck with the 50:50 and see what that brings you… Audra: Hmm... I'll do 50/50 Audra: Even though I bet it's A XD Computer, take away two of the wrong answers, leaving Audra one wrong answer, and the correct one! A: Five foot two C: Six foot two <audience awws> Hey, I claim no responsibility for the unfairness of
our random game computer! Sometimes it helps the contestant out and
sometimes it doesn’t… Audra may I remind you that you
still have your Double Dip – now might be a great time to use
it! All right! So she wins the question, with the Double
Dip in Action! Just for fun which one do you think it is? Dan: the audra cheat Audra: What that's what I thought <lock-in C…> We all know that’s the RIGHT answer for $125,000!!! <applause> Audra: Wow I was going to go with A heh That right there shows the importance of saving those lifelines for later in the game, as Audra played it perfectly to win $125,000. She would walk away from the next question about the man credited with composing “We Are One” in TLK II: Simba’s Pride, Tom Snow. But that $125,000 added to her previous winnings of $96,000 gave her a grand total of $221,000 to exactly match Dani (Tiikeri) to the DOLLAR! So momentarily we had a tie at the top of the WWTBKOTPL Leaderboard but would this make Dani jealous? Let’s find out! Players, good luck and here’s the second Fastest Finger Question: Fastest Finger Put the following Mufasa lines in the order he says them in TLK, starting with the earliest: A: “In the great Circle of Life” Dan: dbca <6.8 seconds> Correct Order: D, B, C, A There seems to be some consensus here, let’s see who got it in the fastest time! And oh my goodness it is Dani leading the pack! Great job Dani! <applause> We’ll be back after a short break to play Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands with Dani as he tries to overtake the #1 position on the Leaderboard, don’t miss it! Dan: :D Tim: I think we just lost our “G” rating… Audra was just asking for it that time… anyways Dani ran into some early trouble due to a TLK 1 ½ question that stumped him – he used two lifelines on the $2,000 question before finally deciding on “Scrambled” as the way Shenzi Hyena preferred her Meerkats, and unfortunately again ran into a wall on the $8,000 question: $8,000 A: Giraffe Dan, as I recall you saw TLKOB at the Lea meeting, so hopefully you remember this scene? Dan: gah, can't remember >< i'll phone a friend
XD He’s calling on Audra, our resident TLKOB expert sitting in for Hasira_Kali who is taking the night off… Audra and Dani, I know you’ve been talking about topping and being tied together but please remember this is a family show <audience laughs> so keep it clean, 30 seconds starting now! <cue tick-tock sound effect> Audra: It's A, the giraffe Time’s up, Dani, Audra seemed to know what she was talking about there! Gonna go with A, final answer? Dan: yeah, A <lock-in A… drumroll> The Fu would not let you down… she’s right
and you’re right for $8,000! Well done! <applause> At this point, however, Dani was still in a quandary as he was out of lifelines at the $8,000 level, but upon the miracle of all miracles Dani correctly identified that there were seven lionesses in total during the “bath” scene in TLK (including three resting on the rock) and also that “Song for the Children” which gave him a chance at the $32,000! $32,000 A: “One by One” Dan: well i'm pretty sure A,B and D are in there so i'll go C. even though i don't have that album By process of elimination you think it’s C: Song
for the Children. Dani if you’re wrong I need to remind you
that you lose $15,000 and drop all the way back down to $1,000! Gonna go for it, is that your final answer??? Dan: yeah final answer <to be continued> <lock-in C… drumroll… camera zooms in on Dani> Dani you were on the brink of elimination five minutes ago… you GOT IT! Another $32,000! <roaring applause> Way to go my friend! Excellent! Audra: Yay In one of the great comebacks of WWTBKOTPL history, Dani used up all his lifelines at the $8,000 question and still fought back hard to win a hard-earned $32,000 after missing the next question. That left us a little time for one last contestant of the day, and since the hot-seat “whores” Dani and Audra were out of it would we finally get a new winner? Only the fastest finger question can tell! Fastest Finger In TLK II: Simba’s Pride, put the following Timon lines in the order he says them, starting with the earliest: A: “Talk about your winds of war” This Land Neale: bdcaa Correct Order: C, B, D, A Zazu and Hyena fan: Yay! We had two people get it right, and first with the right answer was Stevie Rader from Los Angeles, California. Stevie did very well toward the end of the first season and won $64,000 in two appearances on the show, and she was looking to do the USA proud as the second-ever Hot Seat contestant playing from the United States this Season. She started off well, answering the first three questions correctly but wasn’t so sure about an $8,000 TLKOB question… could her lifelines save the day? $8,000 A: He saves Timon Now Stevie, have you seen The Lion King on Broadway? Oh that’s good, so hopefully you can recall what happens in this scene… Zazu and Hyena fan: a Going to say A: “He Saves Timon,” pretty sure? Zazu and Hyena fan: I don't know. Not so sure? Time to choose a lifeline, 50:50, poll the herd or phone-a-friend which do you think would help you the most? Zazu and Hyena fan: 50:50 Computer, you know what to do, so do it! B: He freezes in place Hope that helped you, looks like A went away! Zazu and Hyena fan: b B: He freezes in place. Final answer? Zazu and Hyena fan: I think so. I don’t think we’re going to lock that in just yet… I need a definitive “yes” or “no” please! Zazu and Hyena fan: Yes. <lock-in B> <drumroll…> Probably caught a big break there with your original gut instinct disappearing on the 50:50, you got it RIGHT for $8,000! <applause> Zazu and Hyena fan: Yay! Stevie was far from done, as she set her sights on ONE thing, guaranteeing herself $32,000. Would she be successful? Let’s watch: Okay Stevie, here is the big one. If you get this right you’re guaranteed $32,000 and the Double Dip, but of course if you miss you drop down to $1,000. Good luck! <cue “let’s play” music> $32,000 A: She gets eaten by alligators Zazu and Hyena fan: c A quick answer, she says it is C. Final answer for $32,000? Zazu and Hyena fan: Yes. <lock-in C> Would Disney even think of a suicidal Zira… <drumroll… close-up of Stevie> <correct answer flashes: C: She intentionally lets go of the cliff> Stevie you just won $32,000!!! <wild applause, cheers> <fog horn siren> Oh man! And you were on such a roll too, that sound means that we are out of time for today, so next week on September 24th we will invite Stevie back into the Hot Seat to go for $64,000 with THREE lifelines left, her Phone a friend, poll the herd and the Double Dip the she earned for answering the last question, she’s in great shape to get off to a great start in Season 2. Zazu and Hyena fan: When is the next show? Oh I’m glad you asked! Next week the show will be moved up three and a half hours to 10:30 AM Pacific Standard Time, 1:30 PM Eastern and 6:30pm GMT because I am going to see the Broadway musical Wicked which should be a real treat, I can’t wait.
