Hello everyone and welcome to the weekly review of Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands! I’ve combined the reviews from both of this weekend’s shows into one super-synopsis, so let’s see what kind of craziness we saw in week 3! We started on Saturday with STM finishing up his game from Week 2. He started on the $8,000 question with one lifeline left, his 50:50, which he smartly used to determine that the moon was in a crescent shape during Scar’s “eulogy” scene in TLK. From that point on, he would have to do it all by himself. How would STM fare? Let’s watch! <cue STM’s game> <Tim> Ok STM, you’re out of lifelines, but let’s see how you do with the $16,000 question. Get this one, and you’re only one away from the $32,000 level and that Double Dip. $16,000 A: Timon simbathemighty: C Wow, a confident answer. STM must know this!

Count it! $64,000 for Tara! This Land Neale: woooo <cut> Yes, it’s a good thing Tara knows her Lea friends well, as she definitely phoned the right person that time. She would then walk away with the Double Dip still in play from the $125,000 question, which doubled her overall winnings from $64,000 to an astounding $128,000, increasing her overall lead. Way to go King Simba! Who would be next? <cue second fastest finger> 2-2 Game 2 Fastest Finger Put the following events of TLKOB in the order they occur in the play, starting with the earliest: <moans and groans from the players> Uh oh… well I know there are at least a few TLKOB fans here so… good luck! He actually played pretty well in season 2, making 5 hot seat appearances good for $98,000 in prize money. Would be succumb to first-time jitters in season 3? <B: Purple> simbathemighty: purple? <cut> He was really debating over Blue and Purple, and as they always say, “go with your first instinct,” which would have been right. Tough break there in a crucial situation for Adam, but he knows his TLK trivia (and he’s a talented musician) so we’ll be sure to see him back in the seat soon. We had a little time left so up came the next fastest finger, and it was by far the most exciting one we’ve had this season! <cue 3rd fastest finger>

Really tough break for Dani there, sorry man! But now it was Tal Rundstein’s turn in the spotlight, making his record third hot seat appearance of the season. He hadn’t performed up to his usual level of expertise thus far, however, only earning $1,000 in his first two appearances. And it was great to see a number of new players in the studio as well. Anna became one of the very few players to ever make it into the Hot Seat on her very first attempt ever, and especially with this huge audience that was an impressive feat on a tricky Fastest Finger question.
