Season 3 Week 5 Day 1 & 2
Hello and welcome to the episode review for Saturday’s show of Week 5. They say the month of March goes in like a lion, and we had a bunch of lions ready to pounce on this the first day of the month and bring home some serious dollars. We had a slightly better turnout than last Saturday, with 7 strong, and we were still without our regulars Hope & Pride, Stevie (Zazu & Hyena Fan), Randy Reighard and a few others so hopefully they’ll start making it again soon. Week 5 of Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands got underway with STM finishing up his carryover game from week 4, where he had already reached the $32,000 level and was going for more! Let’s watch him tackle a $64,000 question with his Double Dip lifeline: <cue STM’s $64,000 question> $64,000 A: Leopard simbathemighty: other? <audience laughs> Other than… lions, I’m assuming, since that’s what the movie’s about! Audra: lol Okay, Double dip is in Action! <cue double dip music> It’s a free guess anyways, you can’t leave with less than $32,000, but what are you going to go with first? simbathemighty: C first Going with C, Vulture. Dani put together a good game but couldn’t quite close the book on his $32,000 this time, though he made it exciting, it was only $1,000 which brought his total up to $33,000 and 4th place by himself. But he played a marvelous game, especially being that he hasn’t been in the Hot Seat in a very long time. Great job Andy and now you’re tied for 5th overall with your big payday. Unfortunately we were so short on time, she was only able to make it to the $4,000 level before we had to call it a day, but she will be a “carryover” contestant much like STM was on today’s show – her game will continue on the next show she will be able to attend. But she’s making her triumphant return now, looking to add to her $32,000. Ready to play Stevie? Zazu and Hyena fan: Yes. Let’s go! <cut> Audra put together an awesome run in her game, but could Stevie top her act? After a bogus question about the definition of “taka” had to be replaced, Stevie caught fire, aided by our brilliant audience, who apparently are great TLK on Broadway fans! It sure helps to have read those TLK 6 New Adventures books as you never know when they’ll pop up, and Stevie ended up walking with her quarter-million which put her only $4,000 away from Tara, who has really been struggling to get out of the Fastest Finger round as of late. But she had one more chance, would Tara come through?
