And I realize I made a minor mistake when I announced Adam’s total – he had $33,000 before this game so $250,000 on top of that makes it $283,000 instaed of the $288,000 I quoted him as having. So Adam did not quite catch Tara for second place but he’s very close!

Audra made it once again, she was sitting in great position with $222,000 in earnings thus far in Season 3, and a big game here would really help her chances to repeat as Queen of the Pride Lands from last season. She got off to a somewhat shaky start, using a lifeline on the $4,000 question, but then she caught FIRE, plowing through a difficult $32,000 question and an even more difficult $64,000 question (did you know that there was no anteater in the “stampede” during “I Just Can’t Wait to be King?”) and suddenly she had one of the most enviable positions ever on the show, only four away from the million with her 50:50, Double dip (we all know what that means) and her phone-a-friend! In my three seasons of hosting Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands, we have had some breathtaking, heart-in-your-throat moments on this show, and today we had another one to add to that list as one contestant gave the game a serious run today, and will have to wait two weeks for the ultimate cliffhanger game. But before we get to her, let’s recap the earlier action on Sunday’s thrilling show.

Remember when I said earlier that everything happens for a reason when Anna made a blunder and changed her answer to prevent her from getting into the Hot Seat? In the final game of the day with time running out Anna made one of the most amazing runs EVER seen on Who Wants to be King of the Pride Lands. Everybody ready? From then on, Anna played the game to perfection. She used her phone-a-friend to call Adam on the $64,000 question and then nailed the $125,000 knowing that Uru was Ahadi’s wife and queen. Left with her 50:50 and Double Dip, she used the Audra Cheat for a free $250,000 and was suddenly only TWO questions away from the million with nothing left but her time extension. The previous two times this weekend we’ve seen a $500,000 question this season contestants have walked away facing the huge risk. Would the third time be the charm??? <cue Anna’s Half-Million Dollar question>

I am too… what a performance. Well, you relax for the next couple weeks though it will probably be hard too! I know I won’t be getting much sleep.
